Madame Bonbon on Pinterest

August 1, 2011

I’ve been spending a lot of my spare time on this fabulous little website, Pinterest.  If you haven’t come across it before, then let me tell you a little bit about it.  Pinterest is a virtual pinboard.  It lets you organise and share all the beautiful things that you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organise their favourite recipes.  You can also browse pinboards created by other people. It’s a fun way to discover new things and be inspired by people who share your interests.  I thought I’d share a few screens from my curated Pinterest board.

Image above: My Madame Bonbon home page displays all of my current boards.  Attached to each of the boards are ‘pins’ (images that you have uploaded).  You can re-pin another person’s pin and they can also re-pin yours.  An activity list shows up on the left hand toolbar and you can see who is interacting with your boards.

Image above: This is an extract of my Party Decor board.  I’ve found these beautiful and inspiring images through fellow bloggers or designers.  These images are called Pins.  They link back to the original source (even when you re-pin).

I hope this has given you a little overview of Pinterest.  I am addicted!  It provides wonderful inspiration for parties and events.   If you are already a member on Pinterest, you can find Madame Bonbon on Pinterest {HERE.}  I’d love to follow your party and events boards.
