Last month I attended a fun Melbourne Food and Wine Festivalevent. It was an Earth Sea and Fire dinner hosted by Gary Mehigan (Masterchef TV Host) and prepared by Executive Chef, Dan Javier Szwarc. I was invited to join some friends at Fenix for this festival event. The dinner could be best described as a delicious feast cooked over open flames. Whole beasts, fresh fish and vegetables were cooked over an open fire in an Argentian-style BBQ. It was an indoor/outdoor affair and the weather was perfect. I managed to take a few happy snaps before we all sat down to a feast of earthly delights.

Image above: my friend, Samantha, managed to sneak out during the meal for a few quick shots of the fire. I thought I would include her fancy shot here too.
Gary Mehigan is a terrific host and I always enjoy his Melbourne Food & Wine events. He likes to choose unique themes, held in comfortable settings with beautifully blended cuisine. Check out my article on Gary’s previous MFWF event, a lunch in Gary’s vineyard. Oh and if you’re interested in attending the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. It’s held in Melbourne during the month of March. Visit the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival website for more details.
