DIY Decorative Paper Cups Garland

July 5, 2012

I love DIY party decor and I recently came across this little project which I really want to share with you. It was adapted by Rhi from Hey Gorg blog. She’s craftily created a garland of lights using re-purposed paper cups and string lights.  Rhi has made it super-easy to follow with wonderful step-by-step images by photographer, Jenna McKenzie. The only materials you need are paper cups, string lights, scrapbook paper and double-sided tape – so simple.  You can get the full DIY instructions {HERE} via The Loveliest Day blog (Rhi was guest blogger).

Now I just need to rifle through my storage unit for the box marked ‘Christmas’ and find my lights!  Hmm…or maybe I’ll just buy some more string lights from the hardware store.

Note: The DIY instructions call for “Dixie Cups” (a US brand of paper cup).  In Australia, you could try sturdy paper cups or even mini ice-cream cups, which I think would make a great substitute.  Visit Emerald + Ellas online store for a selection of ice-cream cups.

Happy crafting!
