The Collingwood Farmers Market

March 10, 2012

Today we met with our friends at the Collingwood Children’s Farm Farmers Market. This market is one of  the four community-owned farmers markets in Melbourne. It’s held monthly on the grounds of the Collingwood Children’s Farm in Collingwood.  The farm is nestled by the Yarra river and the market provides plenty of hay bales to rest on, entertainment for the children and a wide array of locally-produced gourmet goodies.  We are keen supporters of “the Farm” and we’re so happy that they’ve won the battle against the threat of a housing development. Now my daughter and her friends can continue to enjoy the Collingwood Children’s Farm and the farmers market for years to come.
