Pina Colada Twist | Madame Bonbon

Cocktails are a lot of fun to make but there a times when we just want a drink that is quick to mix but with a bit more complexity. Well, have I got a drink a for you!  I call it a Pina Colada Twist – why? Well because it has absolutely no cream and I use a base of spiced rum…mmm.  Now the other important ingredient is a bottle of Pina Colada juice that I found in the supermarket recently.  It’s made by the Original Juice Co. and I have to say, it is the highlight of this drink. The company mixes in fresh apple, pineapple, lime juice and coconut water to make the perfect juice for summer – a pina colada juice. This refreshing cocktail is a mix of the Original Juice Co. pina colada juice and a delicious spiced rum. So now you can understand why I call it a “twist”.  Here’s how to mix it.

Cocktail: Pina Colada Twist

  • The Original Juice Co. Pina Colada Juice
  • Spiced rum (I used the Captain Morgan’s)
  • Mint
  • Ice

Fill your tumbler glass or jar full of ice. Add 45mls of spiced rum and top with the Pina Colada juice. Add some fresh mint and give it a good stir. Garnish with fresh fruit and a festive straw.

Now that wasn’t too hard was it.

Note: If you’re visiting me from overseas (not from Australia), you will need to search online for the juice product.  I found two brands just doing a quick Google search – Lakewood Juices and Dole Juice.
