The Gin Daddy is a refreshing cocktail courtesy of Lauren at Teroforma blog. Well, I love gin cocktails and so I had to include this cocktail recipe too. Personally, I think the Gin Daddy tastes almost like a long Tom Collins, but then add a swig of rosemary and rim of rosemary/sugar and it’s a herbaceous variation of old Tom Collins.
The Gin Daddy
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 1.5 oz your favorite gin
- 1/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz limoncello
- 1 tsp. honey
- Splash of soda water
Garnish & rimmer -white sugar, fresh rosemary sprigs, rind of one lemon
HOW TO MIX THIS DRINK
- Prepare your garnish and rimming plate. Strip a 5″ piece of rosemary 3/4 of the way (save the stripped stem for stirrer). Finely chop the rosemary and rind of one lemon. Pour 1/4 cup white sugar on a plate and mix with lemon rind and rosemary. Wet the rim of your glass with lemon rind and dip in sugar mixture.
- In a cocktail shaker mix all ingredients except for soda water. Shake for 20 seconds and pour over lots of ice. Finish off by adding a splash of soda water.
- Garnish with your rosemary twig …et voila!
