Mon petit’s birthday party is the inspiration for this article.  I love to create themed children’s parties; they are so much fun.  Generally, I like to shop around and collect the decor items from various stores or designers (printables such as banners, partybags, invitations etc) but there are also wonderful whole party-in-a-box themes to ease some of the stress of preparing your child’s special day.   (I say child, but hey, it’s might as well be mum’s special day too.)  There are so many options and creative people out there who provide inspiration for birthday parties. Here are a few beautiful party creations that I would like to share.

A Peaches & Cream Party

This farm theme party created by Jessica at Juicy Bits is so amazing.  There is so much detail; from the themed invitations to the table setting, the ice-cream stall, peach-picking activities, the animal yard and horse rides.  Oh, I wish I was invited to this party.  To read more about this fabulous party – visit Jessica’s blog – Juicy Bits.

Blue & Green Pinwheel Party

This pinwheel theme party was designed by Sharnel Dollar.  It’s a fabulous colour combination and the dessert buffet looks amazing.  You can view Sharnell’s blog where she gives you a step-by-step on how she brought all of the decor together for the buffet table.  I love it!  I have been fortunate to secure an interview with Sharnel; so you’ll be able to read alot more about this very talented Australian woman very soon.

These last two fabulous party creations were featured on Carrrie Sellman’s Half Baked Cake Blog.  It’s one of my favourite blogs for creative childrens parties.

The Kids Construction Party

Again, there is so much attention to detail here; the invitation, the barricades at the front driveway, personalised workhats, toolset cookies and of course the fantastic sand pit!  For the complete party background jump over to the Half Baked Cake Blog.

Yo Gabba Gabba Party

I love the vibrant colours used in this party theme  (Yo Gabba Gabba is a kids TV show and full of colour).  How cute are the character cutouts?  I’ll be borrowing this idea for my next party.   The party was created by Krista of Kiki’s List, the mother and creative mind behind the party.  You can read all of the details for this party on her blog.

I hope we’ve managed to inspire you to create a fabulous birthday celebration for your family or friends.

Best wishes,
